This E-flite PA-20 Pacer gives civilian scale enthusiasts the opportunity to fly a very rarely modeled aircraft.
Based on this highly popular civilian aircraft this ARF model features an accurate scale outline derived from the original Piper factory drawings. Construction is of traditional method using balsa and plywood, and the model features an attractive Red and Black UltraCote colour scheme faithfully representing aircraft of the period.
To complement and enhance the overall scale appearance the PA-20 also features a scale cockpit with instrument panels, scale looking landing gear, fibreglass cowling, plus optional flaps for greater control at a wider range of speeds.
To preserve the scale appearance access to the flight battery, servos and receiver is via a spring-loaded hatch located on the lower fuselage, the two-piece wing utilising a carbon wing spar making the model easy to transport and assemble at the flying field. Thanks to the comprehensive hardware pack, general assembly is also very easy.
Powered with an E-flite Power 10 brushless motor the Pacer delivers great sport aerobatic performance, and with the use of the optional flaps its scale flying performance becomes more realistic with short take off and scale like landings being the order of the day.
From the authenticity of its traditional construction, to the richness of its UltraCote finish and high-gloss fibreglass cowling, the E-flite PA-20 Pacer 10e ARF delivers a scale model with outstanding flight characteristics that will look like a class-act both in the air and on the ground.
Piper Aviation is well known throughout the world as being one of the world’s foremost general aviation aircraft manufacturers. The Pacer and its variants enjoyed a production run that spanned over 15 years with an amazing 10,600 aircraft produced in that time frame.
The Pacer PA-20 was essentially a four-seat, strut braced, high-wing light version of the two-place PA-17 Vagabond light aircraft. It featured a steel tube fuselage and an aluminium frame wing, covered with fabric, much like Piper's most famous aircraft the Cub and Super Cub.
An aircraft prized for its ruggedness, spacious cabin, and for its time, impressive speed, many Pacers continue to fly. This makes the Pacer PA-20 series one of the most popular light planes ever built, many of which are still coveted by aviation enthusiasts to this day.

Factory drawings were used to replicate this airplane, and very few liberties were taken against its original shape to allow for an incredible appearance, and superb flight characteristics. Rounding out the awesome appearance of this model is the striking, period-accurate color scheme that evokes a sense of yesteryear and harkens back to the heyday of general aviation.
The scale landing gear assembly is complemented by beautiful fibreglass wheel pants that are painted to match the UltraCote™ covering. The two-piece wings, accentuated by the accurate wing struts attach to the fuselage utilising a carbon fibre wing tube. All of the electronics concealed in the fuselage are accessed by a large, magnetically actuated belly hatch for easy maintenance in the shop or at the field.
