The Piper Archer is a light aircraft designed for use as a low wing training aircraft, an air taxi and for personal leisure flying. Built by Piper Aircraft the Archer is an all metal, four seat un-pressurised, fixed landing gear, single engine low wing aircraft with tricycle landing gear, it features a single door on the co-pilots side, access being gained by stepping on the wing at the wing root.
ParkZone have taken this super design and replicated it in miniature for the electric flight enthusiast. The model features modern looks combined with great sport scale flying characteristics that make the model both easy and fun to fly.
The airframe is constructed from lightweight and durable Z-foam featuring superb surface detail including, moulded-in panel lines, hatches and simulated corrugated flight control surfaces. Additional features are an accurate scale colour scheme and a tricycle landing gear with steerable nose leg for easier ground handling.
Equipped with a powerful 370 BL brushless outrunner motor for realistic flight performance the Ready to Fly (RTF) version also includes a fully proportional four-channel radio to ensure positive control in the air. A Bind and Fly (BNF) version is also available and this just needs binding to a suitable transmitter, everything else is included in the box.
This rarely modelled aircraft looks great on the ground and even better in the air whilst the lightweight airframe allows the model to be flown realistically and it slows up nicely for landings, the durability of the Z-Foam and the tricycle landing gear also minimises the effects of less than perfect landings making the Archer an ideal choice for pilots looking for something a little different from
An efficient brushless motor delivers ample power for sport aerobatics while still making it possible to enjoy fl¬ight times of 10 minutes or more using the stock battery.
The ParkZone® Archer park flyer comes out of the box finished with a striking trim scheme and sleek cowl inspired by the newest generation of Archers flying today. A clever antenna latch on the top of the fuselage releases the cover over the large battery and electronics tray.
Both versions are complete with a 1300 mAh 2S LiPo battery for good duration and 12V DC charger. The RTF comes complete with DX4e full range 2.4GHz radio.
